  • Bonjour,

    Réponse :

Mets les phrases suivantes au discours indirect.

    a) Kate told Josh: "I am going to the ice rink tomorrow"

→ Kate told Josh (that) she was going to the ice rink the next day

    b) Kate asked John: "Are coming with me?"

→ Kate asked John if he was coming with her.

    c) Josh answered Kate: "I don't want to go out because I've got an important exam at the music school on Tuesday."

→ Josh answered (that) he didn't want to go out because he had got an important exam at the music school on Tuesday.

    d) Kate asked: "What sort of exam is it?"

→ Kate asked what sort of exam it was.

    e) Josh answered: "I have to play the saxophone in front of a jury".

→ Josh answered (that) he had to play the saxophone in front of a jury.

    Explications :

Lorsque l'on passe du discours direct au discours indirect, et que le verbe qui rapporte les paroles est au passé,

→ il faut faire attention à la concordance  des temps.

Le présent simple devient prétérit simple

Le présent Be + V-ing devient prétérit Be + V-ing

Le présent perfect deviennt le past perfect

    ...

→ faire attention aux changements de pronoms

→ faire attention aux modifications d'indicateurs de temps

ex: "tomorrow" devient "the next day" ou " the following day"

    ...
