(on conjugue "be " au prétérit (was/were) + BV -ing

- Were you having dinner when I rang ?

- He lost his job three years ago.

- I was dreaming when you woke me up.

- She wasn't washing her hair when you arrived.

- How fast was he driving when the police stopped  him ?

- Last Sunday I didn't go out with my friends.

- Harris was jogging in the park when he met Mary.

- Did they win the match yesterday ?

- Meg was reading and Matthew was playing when the boss opened the door.

- What was she doing when she heard the scream ?

- We were dancing when they came in.

- Where were they standing when the bomb exploded.

- The Evans were driving to London when they went out of petrol.

- You didn't drink beer last night.

- When I opened the door, they were making a lot of noise.

- Sue was singing and Sam and Sally were chatting when a fire broke out.

- It wasn't raining when they had an accident.

- My sisters were watching TV when it started snowing.

- When he first met her, she was sitting alone.

- Mum and Dad were swimming when they saw a shark.
